Spammers use programs (robots) to scan the internet and collect e-mail addresses where to send their spam to.
"Fake Address" generates lists of fake e-mail addresses for those robots to read. If enough such lists are created and spread around the internet, the efficiency of the scanning robots will be close to null, since most of the addresses they will find will lead to nowhere.
Installation:
Unpack all the files to the directory of your choice and and run "fakeaddr.exe"
How to use:
Create a list of fake addresses with "Fake Address" and upload it to your website. Then create a link or two from your pages to the list, for the robots to follow. That's it!
Ways to create invisible links are:
1. If you are using frames without scrolling, put the link on the part of the framed page which doesn't show on the frame.
2. Put the link in the <noframes> section of a <frameset>
3. Be creative and let me know how you implemented it ! :)
You could also make the link visible, but put a tag on it explaining to human visitors what the link is about. The robots will follow it anyway.
