  10. --- SUPERFROG Hard Disk Installer ---

  12. This installer requires the ORIGINAL disks from Superfrog (there are 3, but you
  13. can ommit the 3rd one if you don't want to install the introduction).
  14.  
  15. It will NOT work for cracked versions of Superfrog
  16.  
  17. The HD-Patched game will need about 3Mb of memory.
  18. It should work on ALL Kickstarts and ALL CPUs (up to '060).
  19. Report me any bugs you'll find.

  21. Note: I created and tested this package with a A1200/060/50 16Mb, so there should
  22. be no problems for all 680x0 CPUs (caches,chipset...). It degrades display properly
  23. so Multiscan users won't have any sprite or screen problem.
  24. All my installers are now fixed for A3000/A4000 users (thanks Robert :-) )
  25. However, I think some MMU softkicked amigas will not be able to run the patch
  26. properly. I can't do the impossible, sorry...

  29. When the disks are copied during installation, the pointer freezes. That's
  30. normal cause the game uses a custom trackload routine (copy-protection), and
  31. it does not easily multitask. No checks are done to see if you swapped the disks
  32. or not.

  39. - Load/Save Hi-Scores now work with hard drive or floppy on request (NOOSSWAP tooltype)
  40. - F10 key allows you to quit the game at any time.

  45. - You have to load the high scores by the LOAD SCORES option. This is not done at startup.
  46. - Do NOT use a copyback disk cache on your games partition. This could be harmful if you reboot
  47.   the computer before you quit the game, if you use the SAVE SCORES option (disk buffers not
  48.   updated).

  52. If you don't install disk 3, you can't watch the intro, but the game is playable, because
  53. a file called Superfrog.disk3 of size 0 exists in the directory. However, the end sequence
  54. will probably crash the machine in the end, but this technique saves memory.
