  43. Micromatt Football Fury 1.01, the football strategy 
  44. game for Windows. Pick your plays from over a 
  45. dozen available to get your team into the endzone 
  46. as soon as possible. Play by yourself, with a 
  47. friend, or just watch "from the sidelines" and let 
  48. the computer do all the work controlling both 
  49. teams. You can get up-to-the-minute statistics on 
  50. your game, go for a two point conversion, risk an 
  51. onside kick, pick any team from the Æ97 pro 
  52. football roster etc.

  55. INSTALLATION
  56.  
  57. To install the program, run the SETUPEX.EXE file. 
  58. In the setup program, select the appropriate 
  59. options or simply choose the defaults presented 
  60. to you.

  63. HOW TO REGISTER
  64.  
  65. This shareware program is bundled with a program 
  66. called REGISTER which will accept information 
  67. needed to make an order. With it, you can order 
  68. via postal mail, email or fax using cash, 
  69. Mastercard, Visa, American Express or First 
  70. Virtual. All credit card information is encoded 
  71. for your security. The REGISTER program is 
  72. available by clicking any button which says 
  73. Order, or by clicking on Register in the Help 
  74. menu.

  86. HOW TO PLAY
  87.  
  88. The first thing you need to do is open the 
  89. application using the Start Menu in Windows 95, 
  90. or by using the Program Manager in Windows 3.1. A 
  91. new game will automatically be started when the 
  92. program is opened; or use the New Game item in 
  93. the Game menu to start a new game if you have 
  94. already opened the application. When a new game is 
  95. started, you will be prompted first to choose a 
  96. mode of play. Your choices are:

  98.     Player vs. Computer
  99.     Player vs. Player
  100.     Computer vs. Computer
  101.  
  102. With either of the modes involving the computer, 
  103. the player has no control over the actions of the 
  104. game when the computerÆs team has possession of 
  105. the ball.
  106.  
  107. The next step is to select the teams for the 
  108. game. Click on the name of the team you want for 
  109. team one, then click on the OK button. After a 
  110. slight pause, you will be able to select team two 
  111. from the list. Clicking on OK the second time 
  112. will notify you of the winner of the coin toss. 
  113. When you close the coin toss message box, the 
  114. play clock will begin and the game will be 
  115. underway.

  117. If a team not controlled by the computer is set 
  118. to kick, then you must use the Kick menu to 
  119. select either a normal kickoff, or to attempt an 
  120. onside kick. Once your team has the ball you may 
  121. use the Pass, Run, and Kick menus to select the 
  122. plays you wish to run. On a touchdown play ran by 
  123. a player, rather than the computer, you will be 
  124. asked whether you want to go for a two point 
  125. conversion, or the extra point.

  127. Once you are playing a game, you can get the 
  128. statistics of the current game by choosing Stats 
  129. from the Game menu. Also on the Game menu is an 
  130. item labeled CPU Speed. This affects the speed at 
  131. which the computer picks its plays when it is 
  132. controlling a team. If it becomes hard to follow
  133. the game when the computer has the ball you 
  134. should select a lower speed from this menu.
  135. Slower computers should use a slower speed for 
  136. most predictable results. Another feature 
  137. available on the Game menu is Smart Stop. When 
  138. this menu item has a check by it, the game you are 
  139. playing will be paused when the Football Fury 
  140. window is deactivated. Your game  will stop the 
  141. clocks and will not continue running until you 
  142. return to it; in other words, it won't continue 
  143. playing in the background. For example, if you 
  144. opened the help file from the Help menu, your game 
  145. would pause until you returned to it, thus 
  146. preventing accidental delay of games. Clear the 
  147. check next to Smart Stop if you want your game to 
  148. continue while you do other work. This is 
  149. particularly useful when the game mode is set to 
  150. Computer vs. Computer and you'd like to be able to 
  151. do other things and just check in on the score of 
  152. the game.
