  1. MEMPHIS BELLE ..... THE TRUE STORY

  3. This will be a typical "BELLE BASTARDS"
  4. dirty trick flight all the way from
  5. England.  You will start out at around
  6. 16000' over England and fly all the way to
  7. Bremin and back.  Much of the trip is
  8. boring so you can use Alt-T to speed
  9. things up.
  10.  
  11. Start by climbing to 22,000 ft just as
  12. your flight plan tells you to but at
  13. around 17,000 ft you radio Central Command
  14. that your oxygen system has developed a
  15. problem and you're dropping down to 10,000
  16. feet while you try to fix it.  Once out of
  17. British Radar range (Enemy Territory) you
  18. drop down to 500 ft and rev your engines
  19. up to 87%.  You arrive at the target way
  20. ahead of everyone avoiding radar enroute.
  21. Conduct your normal bombing and straffing
  22. over the target, leaving nothing for your
  23. buddies to bomb when they get there.
  24. Then after having awakened the Germans
  25. just in time to shoot the shit out of your
  26. Pals who are just now arriving to carry
  27. out their mission on a bombed out target,
  28. you get the hell outta there at top speed.

  30. Should you become Flight Leader or if the
  31. escorts come down to help you out, you may
  32. want to consider shooting them and anyother
  33. planes down because all they'll do is draw
  34. enemy fire your way.  Remember, a fellow
  35. officer parachuting to safety may live to
  36. someday tell what he witnessed on the way
  37. down.  Ergo, parachutes don't work too well
  38. with bullet holes in them.
