- Trail-Burners : (c) Dom. Early 1991
-
-
- Intro :
- -------
-
- Trail-burners is a multi-player arcade game where you burn a trail around
- the screen and dodge other trails. It supports up to 4 human players (mind
- you, 4 sharing the keyboard is a little awkward, but great fun) as well as
- 25 or so computers. A log of each player's progress is kept during the game.
-
-
- The Game :
- ----------
-
- You guide a trail-burner around the screen, leaving a trail as you go. You
- must avoid crossing your own trail and the trails of your competitors. The
- winner is the last remaining trail-burner on the screen ie. the one which has
- not crossed any other trails.
-
- You can have both human opposition and computer generated opposition. You are
- armed with a chicken button which allows you to pierce holes in trails ahead of
- you. This weapon can be used to attack and defend but remember you only have
- two shots so use them wisely.
-
- Keys can be changed before each game by pressing F2. Sound may be toggled using
- ALT-S at any time during the game. You can quit the game at any time using
- the ESCAPE key.
-
-
- Requirements :
- --------------
-
- This program should work on any PC with more than 128K ram. It works well on
- all graphics formats including Hercules, though EGA/VGA are recommended as the
- other formats are monochromatic only. The program has been tested with DOS 5
- 4.01 and 3.3 and works well with all. I am unsure about previous versions.
