  3. Welcome to the CICA NT CDROM!

  5. This CD is based on the archive at ftp.cdrom.com/pub/winnt, one of the
  6. largest collections of Windows NT shareware and freeware on the Internet.

  27. Quick Start Instructions:
  28.  
  29.   Windows 3.1/NT:
  30.     Go to "File" menu under program manager and choose Run.  At the
  31.     Command Line box, type: "D:\setup", assuming 'D' is your cdrom drive.
  32.     This will install a group folder with icons for this cdrom.
  33.  
  34.   MSDOS Quick Start:
  35.     Change to your CDROM drive and type "view".
  36.     Example:
  37.           C:\> D:
  38.           D:\> view
  39.  
  40.   Windows 95:
  41.     Insert the cdrom into the cdrom drive.  This will automatically
  42.     start a CDROM browser program called WinView.
  43.     Alternatively, you can also install the program group and icon
  44.     by selecting the "Start" menu and choosing "Run".  At the Run
  45.     box, type: "D:\setup", assuming 'D' is your cdrom drive.

  47. Using the 00_INDEX.HTM:
  48.  
  49. We have included 00_index.htm files so the user may use a Web browser
  50. to view our disc.
  51.  
  52. In order to view this disc using these 00_index.htm files, point your
  53. Web browser to the root level 00_index.htm file.

  55. For example, in Netscape:
  56.  
  57.   1. Click on "File"
  58.   2. Click on "Open File"
  59.   3. Choose your CDROM drive
  60.   4. Select the 00_index.htm file
  61.  
  62. In Internet Explorer:
  63.  
  64.   1. Click on "File"
  65.   2. Click on "Open"
  66.   3. Click on "Browse"
  67.   4. Choose your CDROM drive
  68.   5. Select the 00_index.htm file

  70. The 00_index.htm files have been tested under Netscape 3.0 (Windows,
  71. Macintosh, and FreeBSD), and Internet Explorer 3.0 (Windows).

  75. WinView and View
  76.  
  77. To make browsing the disc easier, we have included the program WinView
  78. for Windows, and the program VIEW for MSDOS on the CDROM.  These programs
  79. allow you to page through index files, browse through directories on the
  80. CD, view documentation and uncompress/install the program(s) you want
  81. onto your hard disk.

  87. This disk contains many shareware programs and images. Shareware can
  88. be considered to be a sort of try before you buy system where you are
  89. expected to pay the program author a registration fee if you find the
