  1. LEGAL SEARCHER 6.0 (SHAREWARE)

  3. Legal Searcher/Text Reader is a fast
  4. and dirty interrogator or large text file and
  5. supports multiple searches on single files or
  6. whole directories for up-to 4 key words or
  7. phrases, simulating hyper-text associations.
  8.  
  9. Legal Searcher is a fast and dirty search/reader
  10. for large text files. Search one or more files on
  11. up-to four key words or phrases. Searches can be
  12. as sloppy or precise as desired. While you examine
  13. the findings, searching continues recording
  14. additional occurrences for later examination.
  15.  
  16. When searching commences, a window slides down
  17. the document. Successful matches are highlighted
  18. in the center of the window. When the document is
  19. organized according to some discernible pattern
  20. of sections or chapters, the window advances
  21. by chapter. You can easily toggle between
  22. the two modes.

  24. Having searched and located 'something;' invariably
  25. there is a reference to something else. Call-up
  26. another Search Criteria Window (binoculars's icon)
  27. to locate that other item, when finished return to
  28. where you started.

  30. Searching is accomplished without modifying the
  31. source documents. Most hypertext viewers require
  32. that document file be pre-programmed manually
  33. to establish hypertext links. Legal Searcher
  34. accomplishes the same effect by using the
  35. æbinocularsÆ to make the hypertext associations,
  36. thereby eliminating the need for preprocessing.
