  3. You have selected the first in a series of files.
  4. The file you loaded is insearch.txt. Type the
  5. word "the" and press the "Search Topics" button.
  6. Click on a topic.

  9. TITLES

  11. Notice the "T" button next to the 'binoculars'.
  12. Press the button and a "t" appears. Press 'Search
  13. Topics' again. Click on a line.
  14.  
  15. You have changed from viewing the document
  16. according to chapter titles to viewing the
  17. document according to text. Change back to Titles
  18. and click on the first line to return here.

  21. RULES CONCERNING TITLES
  22.  
  23. If you search for the word 'the':
  24.  
  25. t - you get all the occurrences of the word
  26. 'the'.
  27.  
  28. T - you get all the Chapters that contain the
  29. word 'the'.
  30.  
  31. Having searched according to 'T'; change to 't' and
  32. click a title, you get the first occurrence of
  33. the word 'the' in the Chapter.
  34.  
  35. Having searched according to 't'; change to 'T' and
  36. click a text line, you get the chapter that
  37. contains the word 'the' if it is on the same page.

  40. TITLE DELIMITERS

  42. Select "Options, Title Delimiters" from the main
  43. menu. Notice the "---" is the delimiter and the
  44. title occurs on the next line. This where you
  45. set the configuration for each document. This is
  46. automatically saved.

  51. Next to "the" you typed, are several check boxes.
  52. Move your mouse over the titles and look above
  53. the main document to find out what they do.

  56. SEARCHING

  58. In the example, the word "the" will match "the",
  59. "their". "THE", etc.. unless you narrow the search
  60. using the check boxes.

  62. In the "File, Preferences" menu set the Font and
  63. Point size for easy viewing of the document.

  68. Browse through the rest of the files then click
  69. the 'File Folder' button. To remove my files
  70. double-click on the file names in the box at the
  71. bottom. Then proceed to select your own documents.
