  1. Enigma for Windows is a powerful program for encrypting 
  2. and decrypting files and directories of any type. 
  3. Perfect screen locking as well as an electronic paper 
  4. shredder function are additional usefull features. 
  5. Because of its safety and proven workability the 
  6. de facto standard DES (ANSI X3.92) was implemented, 
  7. used by many U.S. Government agencies. Keys up to 
  8. 24 byte length (triple DES) are supported. The triple 
  9. DES developer kit contains the complete libraries 
  10. for MS-DOS and MS-Windows. Beside a DES validation 
  11. program according ANSI X9.9 the source code (ANSI-C) 
  12. of an easy triple DES program for DOS is enclosed.
