  2. The Shohl-Fold font (what a silly name) is ⌐ 1992 by D. Rakowski,
  3. all rights reserved. The letters look like they are on a continuous
  4. fanfold -- some facing left, some facing right. To get the visual
  5. effect of a continuous fanfold, then, a left-facing letter should
  6. follow a right-facing letter should follow a left-facing letter,
  7. etc. To wit, there are two versions of each character in the font
  8. -- the left-facing version and the right-facing version.

  10. Here are the rules for where to find the characters:

  12. ALPHABETIC CHARACTERS:
  13.  
  14. All capital letters face LEFT.
  15. All lower-case letters face RIGHT.
  16.  
  17. NUMBERS AND PUNCTUATION
  18.  
  19. Keyboard mapping was a little difficult for punctuation; in general,
  20. the normal keys to produce a number or punctuation mark will produce
  21. a letter facing LEFT. The RIGHT-facing versions add the option key
  22. (e.g., pressing 3 gives you a left-facing 3; pressing option 3 gives
  23. you a right-facing 3). However, for PC users of the font, these are
  24. high ASCII characters that you have to produce using the NUM LOCK/ALT
  25. shuffle. Therefore, keep in mind the following rule:

  51. There is also a combined apostrophe-S ligature on the Mac Keyboard
  52. at option-s and shift-option-s; the ASCII values for this ligature
  53. are 167 and 234, respectively.

  55. BLANK SECTIONS OF FANFOLD

  57. The spacebar produces only white space; to get a blank section of
  58. fanfold, use left parenthesis, left bracket or left brace for a LEFT-facing
  59. blank fanfold; use right parenthesis, right bracket or right brace
  60. for a RIGHT-facing blank piece of fanfold.

  76. Shohl-Fold comes from Insect Bytes, a place where 17 megabytes seems
  77. to be fine for now.
