  3. All rights reserved.IMPORTANT NOTE: This version fixes all printing
  4. problems and postscript errors associated with imagesetter output.
  5. ANDESITE is a beautiful TrueType display typeface based on Plaza (formerly
  6. called Playboy). This font has uppercase characters, numerals, and
  7. punctuation only. There are numerous alternate swash characters for most
  8. of the characters (11 characters have two alternates). It was created
  9. entirely with Letraset FontStudio 2.0 (release version). There are now
  10. also over 300 kerning pairs. ALTERNATE CHARACTERS-ANDESITE includes many
  11. alternate capitals, and since there is no lowercase character set, I used
  12. the uppercase equivalent for alternates, and the lowercase equivalent for
  13. primary caps. Example: Pressing Shift-A will get you the swash character,
  14. while simply pressing ╥a╙ will get you the primary character. The only
  15. character that doesn't have an alternate is the letter O. Besides these
  16. alternates, several characters have a second alternate as follows:

  24. GO! USERS:DesignStudio and Ready,Set,Go! may not always display and print
  25. special alternate characters in a FontStudio font. Both page-layout
  26. applications default to the standard Symbol characters if the upper
  27. register of ASCII characters is mapped differently from the standard font
  28. map.The solution (using Apple's ResEdit utility) is as follows:1. Launch
  29. ResEdit and open a copy of the DesignStudio (or RSG) application (Never
  30. work on the original!).2. Locate the STR# resource and open it.3. Open
  31. STR# 556.4. Click on the last row of asterisks in the lower left of the
  32. window. A rectangle will appear around the asterisks.5. Select NEW (or
  33. Insert New Field(s) if you are using ResEdit 2.0 or later) from the File
  34. menu and then click the pointer in the new font name entry area that
  35. appears and type the unique font name the unique font name in this area.
  36. You must enter the unique font name exactly. Character for character,
  37. spelling, correct upper and lowercase usage, and spacing between words
  38. is crucial.6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 (always clicking on the current last
  39. row of asterisks) for each font for which you need the special (option or
  40. option-shift) characters properly displayed and printed.7. When you are
  41. done adding all the font names to the program, choose Quit from the File
  42. menu and then click Yes to save the changes.DesignStudio (or RSG) should
  43. now properly display and print the special characters for each font whose
  44. name you've added to the program using this procedure.THIS FONT IS

  62. met: the font must not be modified/changed/altered in any way, and this
  63. READ ME FIRST! file must be included. Companies that distribute shareware

  65. permission in writing before including this typeface or its accompanying
