sounds like a great program until I got to the part about Win95 native. You should look into borrowing a 3.1 compiler and making a version for those of us who have not given in to the dark side and installed Win95 (or have installed it and then gone back to 3.1, like me).

I think your program is very good!!!! Have you thinking about some aditional control like manage in the time dimension with events and playback of various playlist and song at a certain time on the day???? and then you can set it to manage the music ambience trought all day long!!!!! Here at Univ. of Maryland they're a bunch of CS majors but they are all too stuck up to help a fella out. Ive discovered another fucked thing with Win95, using something like Winprobe95, u can set an option to avoid using numeric file names. After enabling this option, restarting win95, and renameing some long file name file, it stops ur program from seing the longfiles name :(...so if u have time could u fuq around with it ?...l8er.... oh BTW ur program will prolly be THE mp3 program :)...cya

Didn't download your prg but I get the picture. Small sidenote. You say you can't stop winplay from playing but through a trick you actually can. For that use a very small mp3 sound of silence. When you play that the previous music is stopped and the quiet sound played. Effectively it looks like you just stopped the music.

Problem: Winplay3 (ver2 beta 6) does not display the file name its playing, neigther it displays the next/last songs if a playlist is loaded. Suggested Solution: Make the next/previous/play/stop/etc etc buttons on the MP3Maker desktop. and everytime a song is loaded, minimize winplay3, and switch back to MP3Maker. Also make a little window for the current song being played, and next/previous songs. Another suggestion: on double clicking the names either in the list of a dir or the list of a playlist....make them add/delete, so if double cick a song name in the dir window = add; if in the playlist = delete. Hi Coq, I liked you program - enough to want to send you the $15 you request. How can I do this? I will most likely link to your page from mine in the very near future, recommending your program (http://www.eskimo.com/~miyaguch/mp3.html). Too bad there isn't an easier way to create playlists of sites that feature streaming files, similar to the ease in which a playlist can be created from a directory on a harddrive. One way would be for the webmaster to offer a file for download that contains a pre-loaded playlist. However, he'd have to zip it or something, because a "playlist.m3u" would automatically start Winplay3. A nit: if I happened to make a mistake typing in a URL, I couldn't modify it - I had to delete and add anew. Darryl
