Abstract
The Solution Decomposition document identifies components that do not have a one-to-one relation with, or belong to, any particular interface or service in the Requirements Specification [SAIDA 96-1]. Yet the document itself contains more detailed requirements. Furthermore, some original requirements are met rather by the choice of LCA, Windows NT or other components not developed by SAIDA. This
document describes to what degree, and how, some of the statements in the Requirement Specifications are met in the case they are not specifically addressed in the Solution Decomposition document [SAIDA 96-2].
1 Deviations
- [F4] (Device data shall not be lost...)
This requirement is partly met by the Logger subsystem, but mostly by LNS, LCA and Windows NT's multitasking capabilities.
- [F8 - F9] (It shall be possible to monitor/control the behaviour of a node via e-mail)
The current solution does not address this if "monitor/control" refers to supervising the functionality of the nodes. The planned e-mail function only includes exchange of application data to/from nodes.
- [F10 - F23] (Handling of NeuronC programs and Echelon Nodes)
This is condition to LCA. SAIDA is responsible for distributing relevant LCA/LNS functionality to the client, not providing the functionality itself.
- [F24 ] (Possibility to perform all operations remotely)
Only partly met in current solution. Text-only interaction with the CCN OS (Windows NT) will be provided, not necessarily Window-based interraction.
- [F28] (Download service applications)
Solved by FTP.
- [F29 - F32 ] (Install/remove/start/stop service applications)
Condition to the possibility of text-only LCA interaction.
- [F33 ] (Debugging of services)
Will not be implemented.
- [F34 ] (Priority of services)
Limited to the process priorities provided by Windows NT.
