How safe is my credit card number?
CarPoint uses browser-supported SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption to ensure safe transmission of your credit card information.

What happens if a report stops downloading in the middle?
Sometimes there is a connection error while the report is being downloaded, and you are not able to get the report. You will not be billed for this transaction. Simply reenter your credit card information in the form, and click the Submit button to start the download process again. You will not be charged unless the report has been successfully downloaded to your computer.

Why do I experience problems when attempting to print an IntelliChoice, Inc. Just the Facts report with a Canon printer?
A number of problems may occur when attempting to print using the Canon LBP-8 printer, including receiving a text overload message, the report text and border may print on separate pages, or a text overflow message may appear in the printers display panel. Microsoft is researching this problem and will post new information in the Microsoft Knowledge Base when it becomes available. In the interim you could contact Canon and inquire about the availability of an updated version of the printer driver.

Why does my browser give me an error such as "This program does not support the protocol for accessing https:// . . ." when I try to order a Just the Facts report?
Your browser must support SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption to order a report. Without this encryption, any credit card information you enter cannot be sent securely over the Internet. If your computer is running the Windows 95 or Windows NT operating system, you may want to upgrade to Internet Explorer 3.0, which does support SSL.

When I try to save a Just the Facts report to my hard drive, why does my browser save the file under the name cporder.dll?
This occurrence is particular to the Netscape browser. When you save the report using Save As in your browser, replace the name cporder.dll in the File name text box with a descriptive file name followed by an .htm extension. If you have already saved the file under the name cporder.dll and cannot open it in your browser, rename the file so it has an .htm extension and try opening it again. For more information on renaming files in Windows, please refer to your Windows printed documentation or online Help.

Why does the sample Just the Facts report become unreadable when I try to copy and paste it from CarPoint into another software program?
The sample Just the Facts report is not designed for copying or pasting. It must be viewed within a Web browser. Why do long Just the Facts reports sometimes crash my computer when I try to print them using a Prodigy Web browser?
The longer JTF reports will sometimes crash your computer if it is using a Prodigy Web browser with Windows 95. If your computer is running Prodigy with Windows NT most reports will print. Long reports will display a dialog box asking if you would like to save the report to a disk. Saving to disk allows you to print the report. Choosing No displays three-quarters of the report correctly; the bottom portion is not displayed. If you attempt to ignore the dialog and print the report, the browser closes.

Why am I having difficulties printing a Just the Facts report using a Spry Mosaic Web browser?
Our team of testers experienced difficulties when printing JTFs with the Spry Mosaic browser. Problems included overlapping text and a missing section of the report. Presently there are no solutions for these occurrences.
