Profile: Natsume, along with her sister Kurumi, is an orphaned girl who wanders Japan searching for her and Natsume's long lost father.

It so happened that in their childhood, Kurumi and Natsume encountered Happosai, who was also traveling through Japan. As the two sisters were assaulted by a large bear, Happosai saved the two from mortal danger. Natsume then mistakenly realized that Happosai was actually their long lost fatehr, causing Happosai to encourage Natsume and her sister to train in the Anything-Goes style of martial arts, with a promise to give them their own dojo to run when they were strong enough.

When Natsume and her sister showed up in Nerima, they were found by Akane, whose family promptly offered them to stay at the dojo. Natsume, upon finding out that their benefactor's name was Soun Tendo, immediately tagged him as her and her sister's long lost father. This was due to an obscure photo her and her sister possessed portraying them and their "father" in their childhood. The photo was also signed in Soun Tendo's name, further strengthening Natsume's convictions.

When Natsume and her sister found out that the Tendo dojo was the dojo signed over to them by Happosai (who was posing as Soun at the time), they fought Akane and Onna-Ranma for control of the dojo. Hurt by defeat, Akane left in tears, with Natsume somewhat rejoicing in their win.

It was only later on after a session of intense training that Akane was able to come back to the dojo and hold her own against Kurumi in a one-on-one fight. Eventually, in a rematch, Akane and Onna-Ranma defeated Kurumi and Natsume, and the two left to retrain themselves.

Personality: Natsume, the older of Akane's supposed sisters, is the more serious and less lenient of the two. She takes her martial arts and her life quite seriously and has an honorable winning attitude that is only shadowed by her fighting ability. Together with Kurumi, they make a lethal fighting force.
