Edit Dialog
The Edit dialog lets you:
- Edit the title, keywords, notes and date of a page.
- Delete a page
- Copy or Move a page to another folder
- Go to the URL for a page
- Copy the URL (so you can paste it into another application)
- Save a page as HTML (see the Chapter Save As HTML)
You access the Edit dialog by choosing the Edit button in the Search Results. The Edit dialog
is displayed for the page that is highlighted in the Search Results
list.
NOTE: You can also access the commands available in the Edit dialog by
right clicking on a Web page title listed in the Search
Results.
The Edit Dialog
The top line of the Edit dialog indicates in which folder the page
is stored. You can add, edit, or delete text from the Title, Keywords, and Notes fields.
NOTE: The Notes field can contain a maximum of 10K of text.
The information in the time, date, and URL fields is also
displayed. You can modify the date, but not the time or URL .
The
button next to the URL field copies the URL to the clipboard. This
makes it easy to copy the URL into other applications (for example
into a word processor as a footnote or into an email message).
The Edit dialog buttons:
| Saves any changes to the fields and exits the Edit dialog.
|
| Cancels any changes to the fields and exits the Edit dialog.
|
| Deletes the page from SurfSaver. IMPORTANT: Before deleting a
page, make sure that you really want to delete it. You cannot undelete a page.
|
| If you are connected to the Internet, this button accesses the URL and
displays an updated version of the information.
|
| Saves the selected page as HTML. See the chapter on Saving as HTML for details.
|
| Lets you copy the page from the current folder to another folder.
If you copy a page, you will have two copies of the same page... one in each
folder.
|
| Moves a page from the current folder to another folder. If you
move a page, it is deleted from the current folder and moved to a new folder.
