Keyboard Accelerators by function
Here the keyboard accelerators of Probe are presented grouped by functionality. Help on keyboard accelerators is available from within Probe when using the Accelerator Guide.
Many keyboard accelerators are invoked by pressing one or several of 'Ctrl', 'Alt', 'Shift' together with some other key. The syntax
Ctrl Shift C
indicates holding down the Ctrl and Shift key at the same time as pressing C.

| Ctrl A | Select all files and folders |
| Ctrl Q | Deselect all files and folders |
| Ctrl G | Deselect all items in the entire storage tree |
| Num+ | Select files using wildcards (Numeric keypad plus) |
| Num- | Deselect files using wildcards (Numeric keypad minus) |
| Ctrl Num* | Recursively select all files of a subfolder |
| Ctrl Num/ | Recursively deselect all files of a subfolder |
| Ctrl Num+ | Select all files |
| Ctrl Num- | Deselect all files |
| Shift Num+ | Select all folders |
| Shift Num- | Deselect all folders |
| Ctrl Shift Num+ | Select all files and folders |

| F9 | Display information on current selection |
| F10 | Open the path dialog (explicit path) |

| Ctrl F1 | Change drive in current browser |
| Ctrl F2 | Change drive in companion browser |
| Ctrl PageUp | go to folder above |
| Alt F1 | Open the folder selector popup |
| Alt F2 | Open the folder selector popup for the companion |
| Alt Left arrow | Go back in path history (previous folder) |
| Alt Right arrow | Go forward in path history (next folder) |
| F2 | Edit filename at cursor |
| F4 | Open file at cursor as text |
| F5 | Copy selected files to companion browser |
| F6 | Move selected files to companion browser |
| F7 | Make a new subfolder in current folder |
| F8 | Move selected files to the recycle bin |
| Enter | Open file at cursor with default program |
| Delete | Move selected files to the recycle bin |
| Shift F3 | Modify file attributes of selected files |
| Shift F4 | Modify dates of selected files |
| Shift F5 | Apply disk custom command to selected files |
| Shift F8 | Delete selected files |
| Shift Delete | Delete selected files |
| Ctrl F7 | Create a new file in current browser |
| Ctrl F | Edit file attributes of file at cursor |
| Ctrl N | Edit filename at cursor |
| Tab | Activate the companion browser |
| Shift Tab | go to the folder under the cursor in the companion browser |
| Ctrl F2 | Change drive in companion browser |
| Alt F2 | Open the folder selector popup for the companion |
| Ctrl Shift C,D,... | go to drive C:,D:,... in companion browser |
| Shift Enter | Go one folder down in an FTP ###multi-folder path |
| Ctrl Shift PageUp | Go one folder up in an FTP ###multi-folder path |
| Ctrl T | Test if any the selected files is a compressed archive |
| Alt F9 | Expand the selected archives |
| Alt F10 | Realize the selected archives |
| Ctrl F3 | Toggles file-filter on/off |
| Ctrl F4 | Edit settings for the file filterr |
| Ctrl C | Activate the command prompt tool |
| Ctrl W | Bring up white area popup-menu |
| Ctrl P | Bring up file popup menuu |
| Alt Enter | Display property page for object |
