Cathablanca

Episode #31: "The Conclusion of Cathablanca, The End"

Richard O'Brien was holding Cathie, Francesca, Antonio, Erich, Count Floyd, Steve and Taylor at gunpoint in the Seance Room of the Winchester Mansion.
"Why, O'Brien? Why do you hate Francesca so much?" asked Erich.
"I turned him down for a date way back in high school. He vowed he would make me sorry for it someday," replied Francesca.
"Of all the petty, stupid, idiotic reasons in the world to hate someone! Is your ego really that fragile, O'Brien?" said Erich.
As Erich spoke, O'Brien was distracted just enough so that Cathie eased her whip out of her large handbag on the floor behind her. She had to move very slowly and very carefully... any noise or sudden movement detected by O'Brien would result in O'Brien blowing her head off!
"SHUT UP! SHUT UP I SAY!" shouted O'Brien.
Suddenly Earl Butts appeared behind O'Brien in the doorway. He saw O'Brien with the gun and shouted out, surprised.
"WHAT IN THE HAIL IS GOIN' ON HERE?"
Startled, O'Brien turned to see Earl in the door, giving Cathie a split second to uncoil her whip. She took a few steps and expertly cracked the whip at O'Brien's gun hand. It flew out of his grasp, sliding across the floor under a table. Instantly, O'Brien reached for the light switch, turned off the lights and ran out the Seance Room doorway, pushing past Earl. He ran up the stairway into the darkness.
"Quickly! Everyone! Let's get out of this house NOW!" yelled Cathie.
They scrambled out of the room and made their way to the entry hall. Just before they reached the door, however, it slammed shut and locked all by itself!
"NOOOOO!" yelled Francesca. It seemed the nightmare was going to begin all over again...
The voice of O'Brien was heard coming from all over the house at once.
"AHA! I HAVE YOU TRAPPED LIKE RATS! YOU'LL NEVER GET OUT OF HERE ALIVE! I'LL KILL ALL OF YOU IN THIS HOUSE JUST LIKE I DID THOSE IDIOTS WHO WORKED FOR ME!" yelled O'Brien from someplace in the mansion over a microphone.
"YOU'LL ALL DIE... ALLL...."
Suddenly, his voice tailed off into silence. From the entry hall, the group could hear another voice over the house's public address system, faintly, as if further away from the microphone O'Brien had been using.
"Lock your hands behind your head, Mr. O'Brien. You're under arrest."
After a moment's reflection, Cathie recognized the voice. "It's Inspector Eustacio!" she whispered.
More sounds could be heard over the P.A. as a police officer handcuffed O'Brien. Then, the Inspector's voice came over the P.A. loud and clear...
"Everything's all right, folks. This is Inspector Eustacio. Mr. O'Brien has been taken into custody and is under arrest. Just stay where you are, we'll be right down."
Soon Inspector Eustacio, accompanied by two uniformed police officers and a handcuffed O'Brien, appeared in the entry hall.
"The police station was alerted by the silent alarm system in the house. I'm glad I was on duty tonight! I came in a back door, and spotted Mr. O'Brien going into the house's electronic control room. I heard your confession, Mr. O'Brien. This time the charges are going to stick," said Inspector Eustacio.
Steve turned to Earl Butts. "Where did YOU come from?" he asked.
"Hell, I drove Ms. Fran and Ms. Cathie here in the minivan we rented at the airport! I just got bored of sittin' out there, so I came inside," explained Earl.
"You may have saved all our lives," said Cathie.
Antonio put his arms around Cathie. "No, YOU saved all our lives, darling! You and your whip!" he said to her.
A few hours later, flying back to L.A., Cathie said to Francesca, "Well NOW maybe things will quiet down enough so I can get some work done!"
Just then Steve stood up from his seat not far away. "Not if I have anything to say about it!" he said.
Steve then hurled a condom water balloon which broke all over Cathie and Fran, laughed maniacally and ran away towards the front of the plane. The rest of the trip was spent with the front of the plane versus the back of the plane in an all-out condom water balloon fight, soaking everyone and everything!
