Episode #30: "The Conclusion of Cathablanca, Part 2"

"I'll be there," said Francesca, returning the telephone handset to its hook. "Cathie, make arrangements for me, you, Erich and Antonio to fly to San Jose this afternoon."
"Fran... you're not thinking of going back to that dreadful House again, are you?" asked Cathie.
Later that evening, at 11:30 p.m., Steve's limo quietly rolled up to the entrance of the darkened Winchester Mystery House. Steve, Taylor, and Count Floyd were in the back.
"Uh, something just occurred to me. How are we going to get in?" asked Steve.
"The proprietors gave me a copy of the keys when I was scheduled to do a seance party for them a few years ago, but later canceled. They've never asked for them back," answered the Count. "I would like to say once again that what we're about to do is potentially dangerous. Spirits can be quite unpredictable. Are you both sure you want to go inside with me?"
"Absolutely," answered Taylor.
"Count, I'll give you a million in cash if you can get a real ghost to talk with me for just half an hour!" said Steve.
"Now listen, both of you!" cautioned the Count. "You must always have a respectful attitude when we're inside that house, and never, ever, mention the subject of money to be paid for contacting the spirit life here. To insult the spirits here would surely prove disastrous. At the very least they would ignore us; at the most they could kill us! Is that understood?"
The Count, Steve, and Taylor quietly walked up to the door of the Winchester Mystery House and the Count unlocked the front door. They entered, and the Count switched on the lights in the entry hall.
"Let's go to the seance room," said the Count.
They quietly went to the seance room, and there again the Count switched on the lights. As the Count began lighting the candles on the table, they heard a knock on the front door.
"Oh, Shit!" said Steve. "We're screwed. Someone knows we're here."
They went to the front door and opened it. There stood Francesca, Cathie, Erich and Antonio.
"Who told you to come here?" asked the Count.
"Nobody. But Steve called me earlier and said you were coming," said Francesca.
"But I didn't tell you to come here, Fran!" said Steve.
"Well I did anyway, big brother! I'm just as interested in this case as you are. Even more so."
"But this is all potentially very dangerous, Ms. Lorenz. I beg you not to participate," said The Count.
"Fat chance!" answered Francesca. And that was the end of the argument.
They all returned to the Seance Room. The lights were turned off, and they all were seated around the table with joined hands.
The Count now attempted to go into a trance in order to contact the nether world. But before it could happen, the lights suddenly came back on.
"Not exactly who you were expecting?" came a voice from the light switch. They all turned to face the speaker.
It was Richard O'Brien. And he had a gun pointed at them.
"You all really made a horrible mistake coming back here. It's going to cost you your lives."
