What should I do if I encounter errors in the operation of Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal?

Should you encounter any problems or errors in the program operation while you are using your copy of Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal (for example, the program displays unusual behavior, your computer slows down considerably, etc.), we recommend that you try to determine what may have caused the problem by considering the following:
  1. If the problem is a slowdown of your computer, then you may have started a computer scan using the Maximum Protection level, which does cause some decrease in performance, as does the use of the extended anti-virus database. In order to eliminate this problem, we recommend that you switch to the Recommended protection level. (see section How to change the protection level), use the standard anti-virus database rather than the extended database (see section Downloading updates from the Internet) or exclude some objects from the scope of real-time protection or on-demand scan (see section How to disable the protection of mail, scripts, or other objects).
  2. If you encounter errors during program operation, send a message including the problem description to Kaspersky Lab (see section How to send a question to Kaspersky Lab).
  3. Send a report on the task that resulted in the error to Kaspersky Lab (see section Exporting and sending reports).
