Configuring real-time protection

Real-time protection of your computer means that Kaspersky Anti-Virus constantly monitors all potentially unsafe actions performed on your computer. The application scans for viruses in the following objects: in files that you open or save (after you modify them); in messages you send or receive; in files that are about to be run; in scripts that are about to be executed in Microsoft Internet Explorer. When any of these actions are attempted, Kaspersky Anti-Virus first blocks the action, scans the object, and then, depending on the scan results, either permits or prohibits the action or displays a message.
