Real-Time Protection

Immediately after it is launched (that is indicated by the red icon in the system tray), Kaspersky Anti-Virus scans all objects executed at the operating system startup, as well as the computer memory and its own application modules.
The default real-time protection settings are as follows:
Real-time protection does not scan objects that cannot contain viruses.
Real-time anti-virus protection is enabled automatically after the system startup and remains active until the system shuts down.

You can disable real-time protection manually. To do this:
Real-time protection of your computer will be then disabled and the active icon (red) will be replaced by the inactive icon (gray).

You are advised not to disable real-time anti-virus protection because this considerably increases the risk of a virus infection.
