Installing COPS LPM


Common Open Policy Service Local Policy Module requires an additional installation procedure beyond that of the Resource Kit.

  1. Log in as an Administrator.
  2. Make sure that the QoS Admission Control RSVP service is installed and can be started and stopped successfully from the Component Services snap-in.
    To open it:
  3. Run the self-extracting executable, Copslpm.exe, found in the <Windows 2000 Resource Kit Cdroot>:\Apps\Copslpm directory.
  4. Verify that iCOPSLPM has initialized properly as described in the Event Logging section of the main topic.

The installation program, Copslpm.exe, installs and configures COPS LPM as follows:
