Normal scan

Normal mode scanning provides the easy way of scanning your system and handling any known virus that may be found.  This mode should be sufficient for most users and able to handle the most common scanning tasks.

You can move the mouse cursor over every area of the picture below to get an explanation of its functions.
Most buttons can be explored further by clicking on them.

Opens this help system. Terminates F-Prot. Current number of processed files during scan. Current number of infected files found during scan. Current number of suspicious files found during scan. Displays time of scanning process. Starts the scanning process. Displays a summary of the options chosen for scanning. Type the search path here or click the Browse... button. Select a search path.. Select what to scan and what to do if viruses are found. Switch to Advanced mode. Scan Wizard in Normal mode, overview. Click here to get information about the Settings tab. Click here to get information about the Info tab.

It must be stressed that the quality of the actual scan is exactly the same in Normal mode and Advanced mode, the difference being in the setup customisation options.
