Gateway 200 recently merged the crocs with the cows in calling
Australia its new home "down under" the range. In early
August, Gateway and Micronics Computers, Inc. acquired Osborne
Computer Corporation, one of Australia's largest PC manufacturers.
Like Gateway 2000, Osborne built its 13 year leadership position
by delivering high levels of value in product features and after-sales
service and support.
Gateway is continuing this trend for its Australian customers,
providing a new three-year limited parts warranty and, in certain
geographers, one-year-on-site service for the repair of Osborne
computer systems. The warranty period begins on the day of purchase
for new customers. For previous customers, the warranty is retroactive
to the day of purchase.
