[About The Guide]
Error reading the bad block table of the new mirror drive.
Occurs on: SFT II and TTS.
Meaning: This error message indicates that the REMIRROR console
command was used to attempt to remirror a drive and
the file server could not correctly read the bad block
table of the new mirror drive. The redirection tables
on the new mirror drive were bad and the file server
was attempting to use the drive's bad block table to
rebuild the disk redirection tables. Although, this
is not a fatal error, the remirror operation will be
aborted.
Cause: The mirror drive, Disk Coprocessor board, controller or
cables are bad.
Solution: Make sure that the drive is powered on. Attempt to
run the PREPARE utility and re-setup Hot Fix and
mirroring on the drive. If this fails, attempt to re-
COMPSURF the drive. If none of this works, Check all
of the components of the failed disk channel. Repair
or replace the drive, controller, or Disk Coprocessor
board that is defective and then attempt to remirror
the drive again with the PREPARE utility.
