Who Should Read This Book

       

This book is intended for persons who design and develop products running the OpenDoc architecture. It provides messages and codes that could be produced during the course of developing applications to run in an OpenDoc environment.


How This Book Is Organized

       

This document contains three sections. Developers can use this document as a reference to look up specific codes or messages produced while developing an OpenDoc application. The following information describes the type of information that can be found in each section of the document:


Documentation Conventions

       

Throughout this library of documents, the following conventions distinguish the different elements of text:

 plain text 

Function names, structure names, data types names, enumerated types, and constant names.

monospace

Programming examples and user input at the command line prompt or into an entry field.

bold

Action bar and menu choices, names of keys, push buttons, checkboxes, radio buttons, group-box controls, drop down list box, dialog windows, spin buttons, combo-boxes, and field names.

italics

Parameters, structure fields, and titles of documents.
