The OS/2 version of Billy is no longer beta!
December the 18th 1997
Based on the reports from the beta testers
we are now confident that Billy works on most OS/2 systems.
So here it is!
Upgrade your DOS CD-ROM to the full OS/2 version
- Download the OS/2 CD-ROM Upgrade
and unzip it in the directory where you installed Billy.
- Make sure the EMX run-time library version 0.9 (or later) is installed.
If you can run the command
EMXREV
then EMX is installed.
If not, download it.
- For more info, read readme.os2
and install.txt (also included in the zipped package)
Order Billy
You can buy the DOS Billy-CD that you can now upgrade to a native OS/2 version.
Simply order Billy via BMT Micro and remember to ask for
a notification of the OS/2 version.
In this way we can get a measurement of the interest in the OS/2 version.
If the sales are high enough we will produce a dedicated OS/2 CD, but right now it seems there is no commercial basis for this. If however we do, BMT customers will recieve a copy at a very favorable price.
OS/2 specific features
- DIVE, VIO and PM graphics support using the EMX-VESA library from Johannes Martin.
