Custom Desktop Component

You can add one custom Active Desktop component to users' desktops. This component can be a channel (.cdf file), a Web page (HTML file), or a picture in .gif or .bmp format.

You must include the Windows Desktop Update in your browser package, and be running the desktop on your build computer, to specify a custom desktop component.

Desktop component URL or file path
Specify the file and the path to the file. Click Browse to locate the file. If you refer to other files from this component, such as .gif files or another Web page, make sure they are located in the same folder as the component.
