At approximately the mid-point of our working group discussions, an envoy from the Systematic OO Reuse group, Ted Biggerstaff, spurred a discussion of the relationship between the problems addressed by the ``systematic software reuse'' (SSR) community as opposed to those addressed by the object-oriented ( OO ) community, and by commercial ``success stories'' such as Visual Basic.
