Coupling of Representation to Specific Workproducts

The group's strong reactions against considering configuration management (CM) as a form of domain modeling seemed to rest in part on the fact that CM systems are usually confined to talking about code modules. This would be an example of a representation that embedded assumptions about the kinds of artifacts that would be reused as assets. This feature is obviously entangled with some of those already discussed, but seems to capture some aspects not otherwise addressed.
