The Complete Kermit Software Archive
The Kermit Project at Columbia University
is cancelled effective 1 July 2011
The Columbia University Kermit Project website is frozen effective 1 October
2011, but remains available as a public resource. A new Kermit Project
website has been established outside of Columbia at www.kermitproject.org for
the continued development of C-Kermit, E-Kermit, and Kermit 95.
This is the "historical" Kermit Project website at Columbia University,
which ceased operation on September 30, 2011, but will be preserved as a
freely accessible resource for the foreseeable future.

Final Projects
- The complete Kermit software archive
cataloged and indexed for one-click HTML access to Zip and Tar.gz archives for
each Kermit version, 1981-2011, plus a lot of new material, August 2011.
- C-Kermit 9.0 released June-July 2011.
- The source code to all Kermit versions, including Kermit 95 and
E-Kermit, released with the Open-Source Revised 3-Clause BSD License, except
for certain K95 modules that Columbia U does not own the rights to because
they were licensed from other companies who will not allow the code to be
released or who no longer exist.
- A new Open Source Kermit Project website was opened outside Columbia
University to support further development of the Kermit protocol and
software. The address is http://www.kermitproject.org;
please visit it when looking for news or new versions, or to contact whoever
might be working on Kermit software.
