Electronic Peace Cards

**Special Note**

This project is the first of many pages revolving around the global theme of Tolerance. MidLink is seeking partner schools who are interested in looking at issues related to Tolerance. We want to explore lessons to be learned from history and literature.

We are particularly interested in finding students who will be reading The Diary of Anne Frank. If you will be reading this book within the next few months, or if you have already read it, please join our project. The results will be posted here and on the new web page of Exploris, The Children's Museum About the World. For more information, write to Cindy Catella, Exhibit Designer, Exploris.

How Can YOU Send a Peace Card???

Join kids around the world this month as we celebrate the season of peace with Electronic Peace Cards. It's easy! Use any drawing program to create a scene about PEACE in your neighborhood. Your card might show something that actually happened or it might be something you wish for during this season of hope. Just follow our simple mailing instructions. If you use Netscape or a Web Browser with "forms support," you can attach your picture and mail it from the pages of MidLink!

Dr. Karen Thorsen's students at Ligon Middle School contributed the first Peace Cards by entering their Portals to Peace in an international contest.

'Tis the Season to Surf the 'Net!

Here at MidLink Magazine, the staff is doing their part by Surfing the 'Net for web sites to inspire you. We'll be updating this page regularly with links to all of the best sites and sounds of the cyber-season.

Special thanks to the editors of the Pictures in Peace project in Israel who inspired this project. Be sure to visit their page to get into the spirit of this Season of Peace.
