The WWW site has been updated to include the new publications advertised in the Spring 1995 edition of the Consumer Information Catalog. Some of the new titles include Guide to Federal Government Sales, Preventing Stroke, Finding Legal Help, and Buying a Safer Car.

March 16, 1995
2 publications are now available in Adobe's Portable Document Format (PDF), and can be read using Adobe's Acrobat reader software. There is now a CIC Acrobat Page where you can download the Acrobat reader software in Windows, DOS, MacIntosh, and UNIX formats, and then download the 2 consumer publications in PDF format.

A list of the Top 20 Publications at CIC has been added to the Home Page. In addition, the Background and Activities Page has been greatly expanded to describe in more detail our services to participating Federal agencies, the Media, and the American public.


February 9, 1995

CIC's "New for Consumers" information releases are now available to be viewed online or downloaded. This new page contains over 160 informative articles that can be incorporated into a newspaper or magazine column or feature story.


January 13, 1995

The computer that runs the Consumer Information Center's WWW pages has been upgraded to a very FAST Unix machine. Access times and download times should be greatly reduced!


December 19, 1994

The WWW site has now been updated to contain publications advertised in the Winter 1994-95 edition of the Consumer Information Catalog. Some of the new publications include: Fly Smart, Women's Guide to Social Security, and Medicare Pays for Flu Shots.
