Searching GenBank

Text and Similarity searching

NOTE: The following search methods are experimental and are provided to users for comments and suggestions. We expect to be modifying the interfaces, and adding search options and additional databases.

Entrez Browser
Combined nucleotide and protein sequence databases plus MEDLINE sequence similarity subset. (The original Entrez browser will still be available for a limited period of time.)
Text Searching
GenBank and other sequence databases.
dbEST Searching
dbEST (Database of Expressed Sequence Tags).
dbSTS Searching
dbSTS (Database of Sequence Tagged Sites).
BLAST Sequence Similarity Searching
Nucleotide or protein query sequences against the specified database using the BLAST algorithm.

Entrez:Sequences and Entrez:References, and NCBI-GenBank Flat File on CD-ROM.
E-mail Servers
Retrieve and BLAST.
