ííííThe statue of Guru Padmasambhava is in the tabernacle. He was born in Kashmir and brought to Tibet in the 8th century by Tubo King Trisong Dezang and master Jihu, during Trisong Dezangí»s reign, in order to carry forward Buddhism. Padmasambhava propagated Buddhism to Tibetans according to Tibetan traditions and culture and founded the í░Ningmaí▒ sect. He recruited a number of followers. Since then Buddhism spread throughout the land of Tibet. He also founded Samye, the first monastery in Tibet with statues, scriptures and monks in it. He laid the foundation of Buddhism and settled down in Tibet transforming numbers of noble man into believers of Buddism.
