ííííThe wood carvings remaining in Jokhang Temple are the oldest carvings in Tibet. Some of the ancient folk artist carvings on the doorframe and pillars are from the 7th century. These carvings remained traditional Tibetan skills and were absorbed by the masters of India and Nepal.
