Audio (M. Oberle)

Búho blancuzco, con la cara en forma de corazón. Tamaño: 32-40 cm.; peso: machos 470 g., hembras 570 g. Audio (M. Oberle). Esta ave nocturna tiene una distribución cosmopolita, incluyendo América del Norte, Cuba, Jamaica y La Española. Accidental en Puerto Rico en bosques abiertos y poblados.

TAXONOMÍA: STRIGIFORMES; TYTONIDAE. En inglés la especie también es llamada "Common Barn-Owl".
