Ave diminuta del tama±o de un gorri≤n, de plumaje negro con los ojos rojos. Tama±o: 12-15 cm.; peso: 35 g. No hace mucho, esta ave palustre anidaba en Puerto Rico pero ahora s≤lo ocurre como visitante invernal raro. La destrucci≤n de humedales ha eliminado gran parte del hßbitat de esta especie.
