Pine Warbler

The green back, yellow underparts and white wing bars help identify this species. The female is a gray or brown on the back, with fainter yellow undersides. But it can be easily confused with several other species (see reference by Dunn, et al.). Length: 13-14 cm.; weight: 9-15 g. Audio (M. Oberle). Breeds in pine forests of southeastern Canada, the eastern USA, Bahamas and Hispaniola. North American breeders winter in the southeastern USA. Accidental on Mona Island (29 September 1987).
