Dear parents and friends of the AFS-students staying in Russia this year,
We realize that you might be seriously scared by the mititary events in the Chechen repablick. We would like to assure you that all AFS-students staying in Russia this year are absolutely safe. None of them lives in the regions situated any close to Chechnya. We never place students to any of these regions or to any other place, which somehow may be considered dangerous. So, please don't worry too much, your kids are just watching these dramatic accidents on TV as you do being at home.
