Welcome to SurfStats!
SurfStats is a log File Analyzer that allows a Client to retrieve and analyze raw log files as supplied by most Web hosts. SurfStats can also be used by hosts to supply statistics to their clients or by a client to supply statistics to his/her friends as the default license agreement allows for up to 50 virtual domains.
This can be run in any combination as shown below. There is no need for a separate license for client and server versions.
SurfStats can retrieve log files automatically from the following sources | ||

2. Any Windows or NT Computer (All Versions) on a Local or Wide Area Network | 2. Any Windows or NT Computer (All Versions) on a Local or Wide Area Network that is running Personal Web Server from Microsoft - FTP Version | |
3. Any Unix or Linux computer running NFS on a Local or Wide Area Network | 3. Any NT Computer (All Versions) on a Local or Wide Area Network that is running Microsoft FTP Server | |
4. Any Unix, Linux , Windows, Windows NT or other computer that has a FTP Server on a Local Network, Wide Area Network or over the Internet | ||
SurfStats can send log files automatically to the following destinations: | |
1. Screen | The report can be viewed in HTML format inside SurfStats |
2. HTML Directory | The Report(s) are send to a Directory. This Directory can be on the Local Machine, a machine on a local or Remote Network (Any Windows or Windows NT Machine) or any Unix or Linux machine running NFS. |
3. FTP | The Report(s) are send to any machine running a FTP Server. That can be on the local machine, a local or remote network or over the Internet. Includes Windows, Windows NT, Linux, Unix etc. |
4. EMail | The Report(s) can be EMailed to any destination which can receive EMail. Reports are first compressed (Zipped) before sending. |

Scheduling Tasks
The Scheduler allows the user to automate tasks which can be scheduled to start at any time. More than 1 task can be scheduled per site.
