a sub-group attached to a network manager or a logical entity.The UPS,
the manager (or server) and the clients must share the same community
name to dialog. This one allows only SNMP variables reading. The Community name Read/Write identifies
another sub-group which allows access both in reading and writing to SNMP
variables. SNMP uses the port 161 for control access
request and the port 162 for trap management. Most of the time, these
port numbers don't need to be changed, but some special network or applications
need to use another SNMP Trap port. |
