: I have now worked at MuckDonald's for almost 2 years, desperately trying to fund my fine art degree. As a result, I have developed: contact dermatitis, asthma, palpitations, mental anguish. The chemicals used to clean and maintain the store are extremely harmful, but are not printed on the labels as they are 'trade secrets'. Sanitiser - chlorine based, All purpose concentrate detergent - synthetic detergent, grill cleaner - who knows??? (can someone tell me?), floor cleaner - phosphoric acid. I am ruined. The skin on my hands cracks and bleeds because the APC has dissolved all the fat under my skin and has dried up my sweat glands on my hands. When cleaning the grills, and inhaling vaporised chemicals, I develop severe nausea and asthma attacks. Much is said about how McDonald's are cruel to employees, but more needs to be done about the chemicals in use.

: Please, help me!!!!!!!!!!!!

Get together with your fellow workers who are also concerned, and approach the manager with your concerns. If you get no sympathy, perhaps the boss hasn't yet had enough experience with those chemicals, and needs a couple gallons on his/her car...
