Tell all those close to you to ring say 4 times, hang up, and ring again (I'm assuming you aren't on call, i.e. with a pager). If you don't hear that delay, then don't answer the phone. I also might add suggesting that the managers deal with the lazy fucks who keep cancelling, or seeing if they can hire/schedule a larger staff for each shift.

Perhaps if it doesn't get you in trouble, you could tell the goldbrickers that what they are doing affects the entire staff, the efficiency of the store, and customer service. Not to mention the hard workers who are picked to be the patsy.
