Do we really need to know?

Look Sarah, I am very pleased for you. Obviously it's very exciting to see your (first?) article published. But is it necessary to inform us about all the details of your negotiations etween you and your editor? Do you think we are interested? I think not. Specially when you don't even tell us what publication you are writing for etc. For all we know you may not a journalist at all. This matter is obviously a personal crusade for you. So why don't you just take it to a more appropriate debating room, if you must talk about it at all.

One more point, some people in this room genuinly tried to help you. So a less synical thanks would be appreciated.
