- McDonald's -

They donate to charity, so we shouldn't be worried about exploitation?

Firstly - please DON'T SHOUT - it is most unpleasent.
Rather like a visit to McDonald's - loud, brash and vulgar.

Second - what makes you an authority on everything McDonald's?
You think that because you work in a store that you a privy to
the behind the scenes workings and global consequences of the chain?
Dream on!

The type of comments and complaint you refer to are from McDonald's
customers (nobody else would care).

That's what $1.8 billion in global advertsing (much of which is aimed at children) aimed will do. Many would consider that to be something McDonald's should be ashamed of - not proud of!

More brain washing - gimmicks and exploitation. You really find that something to be proud of. Parents and children so desprate for some stupid plastic toy that they will fight with other customers and buy food they don't want just to get a toy. Personally it makes me sick - and it makes me doubly sick when I think of the slave labour of impoverished workers in the third world who are being payed peanuts to make those stupid plastic toys which McDonald's bribes people with to eat their McShit.

Yeah right. I get a feeling that you might just go on forever.

Oh. that's all right then. McDonald's donate a small amount of money (the majority of which is raised or donated by their customers) so we should not be concerned about their exploitation of people, animals and the environment. Heck, they have had awards for environmental excellence as well - and they mean something too. It seems that we were all mistaken. McDonald's DO care - thats obvious - after all 10 million dollars from a company that turns over 30 billion dollars and spends almost 2 billion on advertising - now thats what I call generous.
