verging on scaremongering

As interesting as your friends page was it was also verging on scaremongering in some places. He failed to realise that Dioxins are not merely produced by greedy chemical companies. But also by all fossil fuel and domestic wood combustion, even the breakdown of wood and organic material releases dioxins. A further myth that he seemed to be cultivating was that dioxins were a man made evil, this is certainly not the case as they have been discovered in million year old clay layers, not influenced by any man-made source. Furthermore dioxins have been discovered, in bark of thousands of years old redwoods and in human bodies of 6,000 years old.

Whilst I'm not saying that dioxins are a good thing, I would however suggest that your friend gets his facts right, as such one sided green fundamentalism makes him hard to take seriously.
