: I JUST HAVE TO SAY THAT I WORK FOR THE MCDONALDS CO. AND YOU CAN NOT BASE ALL ITS NEGATIVITY DOWN TO ONE PARTICULAR RESTAURANT. EACH STORE HAS DIFFERENT EMPLOYEES, MANNERISMS, AND QUALITY OF FOOD. I HAVE TO STRESS THAT I WILL NOT GO TO ANY OTHER MCDONALDS FOR I KNOW THAT MINE IS FAR THE BEST. BUT I DO NEED TO ADRESS THE ISSUE OF IRRATE CUSTOMERS!

: WHY IS IT THAT A PERSON CAN COME IN AND MAKE A YOUNG GIRL FEEL SO HORRIBLE BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T GET WHAT THEY THOUGHT THEY HAD ORDERED! PEOPLE... WE AS THE EMPLOYEES ARE RIGHT... AND YOU ARE ALWAYS WRONG!!!
: REMEMBER ITS JUST MCDONALDS, NOT AN INTERNATIONAL COO!

"Worker": Is your shift key stuck or do you not know how to use the caps lock? It works as a toggle. One click uppercase, click again, lower case.

When you deal with the public, you are going to get the occasional short-fuse person. That's part of reality. Even if that person is not "right", you must treat him/her like he/she is. On rare occasion, I would get an internal customer (aka "user" or "client") who would be pissed off at me for not scheduling his/her report ahead of all others. Problem was, we only had one printer set up for the report transmission and spooling system in use (that was out of my control, although I pushed many times for a second one), and there were higher-priority reports I had to get "off the press" first. I haven't encountered an irate client in a long time.

I beg to differ with your claim that we are "always wrong". How often does your McDonald's screw up orders? If it happens frequently, then the customers are right to call you people on it. Although I do agree with you that they should not vent rage at the person working the register. And should cordially discuss the problem with the manager or supervisor.

If the supervisor makes a bunch of excuses or the staff acts like they don't give a fuck, then a few strong comments (I don't mean profane or excessively belligerent) are OK. In these cases, they brought it on themselves.
