: M.Ryan, if you think you can do a better job selling veggie burgers, go for it! Quit complaining about the short comings of others. You veggie people need to put your money where your mouth is and start a chain of veggie burger franshise's just the way you want them. In my opinion, you should have to pay twice as much for a veggie burger since, according to the veggie people, they are twice as good for you.
Where I live there is an upstart franshise called Faque Burgers (pronounced "fake"). I've met the original owners before they sold
it to be franchised out-- friendly down to earth Seventh-Day Adventist
African American couple. "Garden Burger" brand is available in
restaurants all over, but I think it's rather bland-- I prefer
the GardenVegan! And lots of restaurants are coming up with their
own veggie burgers- using mushrooms, lentils, beans, soy, rice,
eggplant, carrots, the possibilities are endless and the taste is
so much better than those e-coli processed dead cow patties. And
every single non-vegetarian I've influenced to try veggie burgers
agrees with me on the taste!
